What are the requirements for SMSF asset valuation in NSW?

Under current federal legislation from the Australian Government, trustees of self-managed super funds (SMSFs) are required to report on the market value of their assets before the end of each financial year and undergo external evaluation by a certified professional valuation at least every three years. The ATO assesses this data as part of its SMSF compliance monitoring. This also forms part of your annual report to members.

As markets oscillate, seeking professional valuations regularly will ensure the market value and rental income you report is accurate, and legislative compliance is maintained.

Once you have placed an order or request for a quote through our website, we will promptly confirm our fee and request any relevant documentation such as commercial lease agreements. After undertaking our research and analysis, we will provide an ATO compliant valuation report digitally and remain available to answer any questions you may have.

Residential superannuation market reports are usually completed within one to two business days of placing an order. Commercial valuation reports are supplied within two to three business days of receiving all necessary documentation.

Our certified valuers can help you meet reporting requirements and stay on top of your super investments.
